Missenden Abbey has joined up with Morale Solutions to offer a comprehensive range of activities which can help you develop and improve your team’s performance. Whether you’ve got 30 minutes, 3 hours or 3 days to devote to team building… we are 100% sure we can work with you to find something that’s perfectly suitable for your group.

Missenden Abbey Mysteries

30, 60 or 90 minutes

Part Treasure Hunt, part Whodunnit.   Explore the grounds of the Abbey, find the cryptic clues, avoid the red herrings, piece the important information together and discover which Monk stole the Abbot’s Sacred Scrolls… and where he’s hidden them.  A multi-layered problem solving task which is a real test of strategic planning, lateral thinking and communication.

The Great Missenden Trail

2 hours

Teams are provided with a map of the village of Great Missenden and a list of clues in 5 categories – Roald Dahl, creative, scavenger hunt, numbers, words.  Some (difficult) answers are worth more points to the team than other (easy) ones. So what’s your plan?  High risk, difficult questions or playing it safe?  Oh and there’s a strict time limit too.  This activity is great for bringing out the different skill sets that exist between colleagues and finding a way of playing to everyone’s strengths.

Tower Build

45 minutes

The ultimate test in teamwork and collaboration. All participants work together to build a tower of wooden blocks using the ‘crane and rope’ equipment.  Strategy, planning, trust and flexibility are all involved. Depending on how the team performs, other obstacles can be introduced (eg. blindfolding team members, imposing a no-talking rule, introducing a secret saboteur).  The current record is a tower 6 blocks tall. Can your team beat this?
