IMPORTANT UPDATE

Following the Government announcement on 4th January with the national lockdown and stay at home order, we are taking steps to support the national effort during the pandemic. Therefore, we will continue to be closed for business meetings, events including afternoon teas and overnight stays for leisure. At present, we are unsure of how long this will continue, but please keep an eye out on our social media pages for further updates.

We appreciate all the efforts that the NHS and key workers are doing and we are still maintaining our offer of accommodation to these key workers only on a B&B basis at a special rate in our COVID secure bedrooms, with take away continental breakfast service. Please contact our reception team via e-mail reception@missendenabbey.ltd.uk to book.

Missenden Abbey will be operating on reduced staffing levels during this time, but we are here to support all that need it. If you would like to get in touch, please call on 07767110705 anytime.

IMPORTANT UPDATE

Following on from the latest government announcement of Buckinghamshire going into Tier 3 from Saturday 19th December we would like to update you on the following –

Festive Afternoon Tea

Unfortunately, from Saturday we will no longer be able to provide our lovely festive afternoon teas indoors. During this time, we will be unable to take further bookings, however for all those that have booked an afternoon tea, will be able to organise a take-away service instead. Our Reception team are working hard to call all bookings and we appreciate your patience as they do so.

Festive Illuminations

The Illumination trail is still available to go ahead until 23rd December as this is an outdoor event. The rule of 6 applies but you must not mix with other households. We will still be providing take-away refreshments for hot and cold non-alcoholic options.

A further communication will be emailed to all ticket holders shortly.

Accommodation

Missenden Abbey will remain open for key workers and those that need accommodation for work purposes, education and training. Please note anyone booking accommodation will be on a bed and continental breakfast basis only.

In light of the Government’s latest announcement (23 March), I am sad to announce that Missenden Abbey will be closing temporarily from today until further notice.

We are taking this step so that we can play our part in the ‘huge national effort’ the Prime Minister has called for to slow the spread of COVID-19 and help to save more lives.

 

The health and wellbeing of our customers, staff and visitors remains paramount.

 

On behalf of the whole team at Missenden Abbey, I thank each and every one of our customers for your continued support and understanding during this challenging time.
