1.0 What information do we collect about you?

• CCTV in operation on the premises

1.2 Information collected through automated technologies
As you interact with our website, we may automatically collect technical data regarding your devices, region, browsing actions and patterns. This information cannot be linked personally to you and is anonymous.
2.0 How do we use information about you?
We only use your personal information when the law allows us to, putting your freedom and rights first. We may use your information in the following circumstances:
• To process your booking and manage your account
• Further communication with you to perform the contract we entered in with you
• To gather feedback regarding your event or stay with us to help improve our services
• To send you promotions and special offers regarding the product or service that you have legitimate interest in
• To send you news about the company and upcoming events if you have provided consent to do so
We would like to send you information about upcoming events, company news, special offers and fundraising activities. We will only send you marketing communications if you have expressed legitimate interest into a particular product or service or if you have consented and subscribed to our full mailing list.
You can opt-out of our mailing list at any time by opening one of our promotional emails and clicking “unsubscribe”.
Unsubscribing from our mailing list does not automatically delete your information from our collection.
2.3 Sharing your information to third parties
Missenden Abbey will never share your information with third parties unless you have provided consent to do so. The only instances this will occur is if you attend an exhibition at our venue whereby suppliers would like access to your information. In this case, you would be required to either provide or reject consent when signing in at the event.

4.0 How do we protect your information and how long do we keep it?
We use appropriate technological and operational security measures to protect your information against any unauthorised access or unlawful use. All information is stored on an encrypted server and cannot be accessed by anyone outside of the organisation. Missenden Abbey are now operating as a paperless company (as of 1st May 2018) therefore no paper records containing your information are stored.
Missenden Abbey will store your information for various retention periods depending on the type of information it is and what the law states. The table below outlines how long we will keep your information based on where it was collected from.

If the original place of data collection is not listed above, information collected will not be kept for any amount of time.
4.1 CCTV Footage
Missenden Abbey has 9 CCTV cameras throughout the building and externally around the grounds covering points of access, car parks and high traffic areas. The CCTV footage is monitored live from 10pm to 7am by security and footage is recorded and stored for a period of 5 months. Recorded footage is only accessible during an investigation. You have the right to request footage recorded of yourself, please see section 3 regarding making a data request.
4.2 Breach management
A data breach is an incident where a person’ rights and freedom have been put at risk. If you believe there has been a data breach that concerns yourself or another natural person, please let us know as soon as possible and an internal investigation will take place. If it is found that a data breach has happened then we will report it to the Information Commissioners Office (ICO) without delay and within 72 hours of discovery.
